[Contract Role] AVP - Credit & Hybrid Solutions Team

Location: Singapore
  • Has a minimum of 4-5 years relevant experience in Credit Research, Investment Banking, or Asset Management; exposure to buy-side a plus (typically would be credit fund, private equity or prop desk of a major investment bank focusing on direct lending, special situations, etc)
  • Driven, committed, curious, technically strong, team player, and able to take initiative
  • Proficiency/native ability in at least one Asian language other than English a plus
  • Experience and knowledge in Asia Private Credit is strongly preferred to Public Credit / Fixed Income
Core functions/Responsibilities:
  • Conduct independent, fundamental Credit research on a single name or portfolio basis;
  • Create historical and projected financial models, analyze key financial and operational metrics;
  • Assist in driving valuation, structuring and due diligence process to capture principle investment opportunities and co-investment opportunities in the Credit space;
  • Manage existing portfolio investments in the Credit group as needed;
  • Active involvement in research, due diligence and monitoring of credit fund investments;
  • Produce and communicate internal reports, investment memos, and proposals for internal review and investment decisions;
  • Maintain a continual awareness of the industry and identify new sourcing themes that could be opportunities for growth for Temasek;
  • Other duties as required by the Credit group management.
Qualifications/Capabilities/Experience:
  • Excellent academic qualifications
  • Demonstrated fundamental research and analytical skills, with strong attention to detail and display of logical thinking
  • Excellent quantitative modeling and valuation skills
  • Familiarity and experience with bond and loan covenants
  • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced and diverse cultural environment
  • Ability to manage competing workloads effectively, and deliver quality work on schedule
  • High level of interpersonal, communication and writing skills
  • Possess a strong work ethic, personal and professional integrity, a positive attitude
  • Proactive, self-motivated and good team player
