Reporting to Department Head, Communications and Public Relations, you are expected
• To help develop and implement an impactful communications strategy to amplify the Group's corporate brand and customer values as well as a market positioning
• To help develop and implement public relations strategy and initiatives at corporate and business levels, including providing guidance to group subsidiaries that is aligned with the Group's corporate brand positioning
• To amplify positive brand presence and build media share of voice for the Dah Sing Group, its various business divisions and product teams
• To manage and coordinate the Group's ESG and CSR strategy implementation and improve stakeholder communications impact
• To manage and coordinate the Group's crisis communications efforts and to mitigate potential reputational risks
Job Responsibilities
• To help develop and implement an impactful communications strategy to amplify the Group's corporate brand and customer values as well as a market positioning
• To help develop and implement public relations strategy and initiatives at corporate and business levels, including but not limited to media engagement programmes, press interviews and events, media awards and sponsorships as opportunities arise.
• To provide advice and guidance to Group subsidiaries on public relations strategies to build positive brand presence that is aligned with our corporate brand positioning, including in the GBA
• To cultivate and maintain strategic relations with local and/or regional media, KOLs and other key stakeholders to drive positive media presence
• To lead in the development of communications tools which may include, but are not limited to, customer communications, press releases, corporate pitchbooks and videos, management scripts, and/or other communications materials in both traditional and digital spectrums
• To manage and coordinate the Group's ESG and CSR strategy implementation and improve stakeholder communications impact, with audiences ranging from the media, beneficiaries and staff at one end, to management, shareholders and directors at the other end of the spectrum
• To identify and implement corporate sponsorships that amplify the Group's brand image and stakeholder reach in its key markets
• To drive and coordinate the Group's crisis communications and reputation risk management efforts
• To manage the Group's media monitoring reporting to senior management and key internal stakeholders
• To manage, track and ensure responsible and effective use of allocated resources and budgets for all assigned communications initiatives
• To manage and coach team of direct reports in the timely and quality execution of marketing and communications programmes and initiatives
Incumbent Requirements
• Degree or above with major in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism and/or related disciplines
• Minimum 15 years of relevant experience in financial services, PR or journalism
• Solid knowledge of retail banking products and services preferred
• Excellent English and Chinese (Cantonese and Putonghua) verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to create compelling content and messaging for a variety of audiences and channels
• Proven track record of developing and executing successful communication strategies and initiatives.
• Experience in issues management and crisis communications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage relationships with media outlets and journalists.
• Ability to work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders, and to build strong relationships with internal and external partners.
• Self-motivated with strong analytical and planning skills
• Detail-oriented, able to multi-task and work under pressure to meet tight schedule
• Strong team player and good people skills for managing multiple stakeholders and for motivating and guiding team members
