About the Department

The Wholesale Bank function operates a dynamic business model that provides financial services and solutions to help our clients achieve their strategic business objectives. Our mission is to become the premier-provider of banking services and solutions for Asia-based commercial banking companies (small medium enterprises), large corporations, financial institutions as well as multinational corporations. Our coverage teams work in full alignment with specialised teams across Transaction Banking, Investment Banking, Global Markets and Group Retail to deliver seamless solutions to our clients.

Job Responsibilities

As a key member of GWB Business Management team, you will be responsible to project-manage some of the key Global GWB initiatives and work with relevant stakeholders to deliver value and enhance business performance. Active engagement and assistance in ad-hoc projects and other related business support activities are also expected.

Key responsibilities:
• Project Management - Be the Go-to person in project managing a suite of Key Strategic Business Initiatives
‒ Track and drive timely project execution. Projects are typically regional in scope, multiple work streams
‒ Identify / Track risks & issues, and work with relevant key stakeholders to drive issue resolution
‒ Report progress of project status to senior management on a regular basis
‒ Raise early warning flags and escalate issues to senior management on a timely basis
• Process Re-design / Re-engineering
‒ Identify, prioritise, and deliver business process improvements for GWB
‒ Lead cross-functional team to improve business processes by understanding current processes and proposing modifications or re-engineering initiatives, taking an end-to-end perspective with a focus on improved service and operational excellence, and increased customer and stakeholder satisfaction
‒ Take ownership of ongoing continual measurement and monitoring processes working with functional owner
• Strategy Development
‒ Work with various stakeholders across GWB and/or enterprise stakeholders to ideate, co-create, and develop strategic business papers to be presented to senior management
‒ Be able to facilitate and influence strategic discussions
• Be the Change Agent
‒ Provide leadership and motivation to cross border, cross functional teams in delivering continuous value
‒ Drive adoption through change management techniques

Job Requirements
• A recognized tertiary education with at least 15 years of experience in the banking / financial industry specifically in COO/Business/Project Management/Strategy Development environment
• Minimum 10 years of excellent project management / process re-engineering / strategy development experience, with excellent communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and proven leadership and people management techniques
• Strong MS Excel and presentation skills
• PMP / PRINCE2 certified. PMI-ACP would be a plus
• Strategic thinking, analytical and result-oriented
• Able and willing to adapt in a dynamic environment
• Team player who is able to perform under stress, multi-task, and work independently
