Summary of Role

The role of Senior Consulting Manager is to drive Cognizant's consulting business, focusing on Insurance sector for the markets of Greater China. Candidates expected with 12+ years leadership & management experience across consulting, technology strategy & implementation, with deep domain expertise in Insurance.

Role Responsibilities

• Drive Cognizant's consulting business across Insurance sector
• Build and develop strong thought leadership across key topics / business trends across domain & functional aspects
• Work with Cognizant's BU & Consulting leadership (regional & global) in supporting long-term strategic initiatives like market expansion, service line expansion, client engagement etc.
• Bring in and establish/build strong & trusted relationships with clients at CXO levels & senior client stakeholders. Identify key business opportunities (strategy & tactical) and drive client conversations as a trusted advisor
• Hands-on-delivery of highly complex & large scale transformation programs for clients by leading a team of Cognizant's consultants. Overall ownership and governance for in-flight engagements managed through the team. Ensure resolution of issues / client priorities as part of overall consulting delivery portfolio
• Lead a team of highly dynamic & talented consultants, managing team's overall consulting execution, talent management, expert mentoring and escalation/conflict management
• Build and drive partnerships with business partners / vendors / InsureTech as part of growth strategy
• Hands-on and detailed management of team's goals, targets, performance progress, annual appraisals, periodic guidance for performance improvement with overall ownership for building successful career for reporting tree & overall team
• Strongly support Cognizant's regional initiatives across marketing, building relationship with academia, corporate social responsibility, thought leadership development etc

Skills & Experience

• 12+ years of deep domain experience across Insurance, consulting, technology strategy/execution. Candidates with work experience in tier 1 consulting firms are preferred
• Proven experience in consulting, project delivery, business architecture, managing relationships at senior levels within top listed Insurers - in areas such as digital, platform and processes
• Strong background in Insurance sector (From a Strategic, Operational and Technology perspective)
• Strong experience in APAC Insurance markets and regulatory systems
• Experience in handling major LOB's of Insurance - Life, P&C, Re-insurance and Health
• Experience of working with major Insurers in Greater China region
• A strong track record leading client advisory, technology selection and solutioning and a hands-on role in leading complex transformation engagements
• Experience working with market leading Insurance COTS solutions in APAC
• Experience in customer engagement at senior management level
• Experience in Insurance COTS product consulting including fit-gap assessment, roadmap, data migration and implementation.
• Experience in consulting and execution of digital transformation programs
• Experience in project management
• Good understanding and experience in Insurance operations across value chain
• Leading Industry certification in Insurance
• Experience in building business solution and lead the transformation track for opportunities.
• Experience in selling and delivering consulting.
• Exceptional quantitative, analytical, and financial modelling skills
• Highly effective communication skills, both written and verbal, and the ability to build strong relationships with a range of clients.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment.
• Experience in large policy admin transformation programs
• Experience of hiring and managing business analyst and consulting team
• Experience in authoring white papers and presenting in conferences.
• Ability to communicate in local languages is preferred.
