You will drive employee experience, operational efficiency, and robust downstream data, through designing and implementation strong digital processes.

What impact can you make in this role?
You will be part of a team that champions the people agenda for GIC.

What will you do as a People Insights practitioner?
You will have the opportunity to impact the team's agenda of supporting insights-based people decisions, at GIC and join a team with an established roadmap of impactful projects.
  • Analyze and interpret large data sets, trends, and results, with a focus on producing action-driven insight products for people development
  • Design intuitive, self-service dashboards on Tableau to generate insights that drive action for HR, larger business leaders and senior management
  • Conduct effective user research workshops to capture in-depth user requirements, to deliver dashboards that are user-centric
  • Effectively story-tell with data to non-technical audiences
  • Bring together and rationalize data from the different HR centres of excellence and GIC business groups to evaluate talent holistically
  • Understand and use existing upstream HR systems and processes, to have a good understanding of downstream data, to understand data quality issues and how to fix them and to enable robust analysis
  • Work closely with the data team to design optimised data tables to power efficient dashboard with good loading speed
  • Engage in complex data manipulation, data cleansing and data transformation working with high volumes of data
  • Partner closely with team members (e.g., HR leadership, GIC management) to understand business challenges and develop appropriate insights-based solutions to address them
  • Participate in specific white paper studies and special projects, as needed

What qualifications or skills should you possess in this role?
  • Possess a good Degree in Statistics, Computing, or Design field
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in reporting and business intelligence
  • At least 5 years of experience in any BI tool - Tableau, Power BI, QlikView, or any other similar platform
  • Have a good grounding on Descriptive Statistics concepts like population distribution, measure of central tendencies, variance, how to test statistical significance, outlier etc.
  • Understands data visualization principles, best practices around charts and graphs, that is best suited to present the needed insights
  • Strong working experience with tools like SQL, Python, R etc in data manipulation and processing and creating data workflows
  • Effective teammate who is independent, keen to learn, and with strong analytical, problem solving, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resourceful, adaptable, and resilient to evolving changes and challenges
  • Displays leadership and influence, as an individual contributor to drive delivery with partners
  • Candidates with the following additional skills have an edge:
    • Experience with building planning/simulation models on Anaplan
    • Experience in any aspect of Design (user experience, product etc)
    • Project Management experience taking care of Technology and Business
