The Senior Vice President is a critical role to support CGW Asia in identifying business development and strategic client acquisition partnerships with P&L accountability. Conduct assessment, due diligence, propose for approval, negotiation & execution of partnerships to deliver the financial goals on revenue, with an overall focus on expenses, ROTCE and operating efficiency. The incumbent is accountable to CGW Asia Business Development and Partnerships seniors, interact and influence all levels of internal stakeholders from global to region to country, and manages external relationships including C-Suites.

Responsibilities:

Business Development and Partner Management
  • Support defining, launching, and managing the multiple strategic partnership constructs leading to client-led profitable scale and growth across but not limited to wealth products distribution, innovative acquisition partnerships, offshore banking propositions and innovative wealth services offerings across client segments
  • Co-ordinate the identified partnership pitches (both internal and external to Citi) and response to RPFs
  • Represent CGW Asia on interactions with ICG colleagues and their clients including C-Suite executives to drive One Citi objectives
  • P&L accountability
Assessment to Execution
  • Evaluate partnership model, multi-year P&Ls / payback, viability of technology integration / investment, client touch points, distribution channel, etc
  • Perform due diligence working with Citi Businesses / Functions and external professional counterparts such as law firms and audit firms
  • Co-ordinate end-to-end approval process, address concerns and conditions raised by functions / ICRM / IRM / global business heads
  • Negotiate commercial terms with external counterpart including rewards, cost and partnership payment
  • Own and manage daily governance and project manage the execution involving multiple counterparts internally and externally
Strategy and Financial Planning
  • Refresh business strategy and milestones to align with external environment and Citi's global direction
  • Contribute to internal planning and forecasting exercises, including the annual financial plan and periodic outlooks for the partnership businesses
  • Support periodic business review with external partnerships to review progress and come up with remedial action plans to meet agreed targets
External Engagement
  • Build and maintain relationship with external partnership including C-Suite to working level executives
  • Research and scan the landscape for new prospects in the financial institution and professional services
  • Take part in industry conference or association to build Citi brand name
  • Delegation and Management Responsibilities
  • Be the delegate to Director and MD, Head of Business Development and Partnerships as required
  • Virtually lead large number of colleagues across countries / regions / businesses / functions as a core member of Assessment to Execution activity
Qualifications:
  • 12+ years of relevant strategic, finance, operational and M&A work experience
  • Highly analytical and detail oriented
  • Deep understanding of the financial services & advisory industry
  • Excellent project management skills with ability to set priorities and manage multiple activities in a fast paced, highly matrix and dynamic environment
  • Excellent verbal and written communicator with both internal and external partners
  • Bachelor's degree, MBA preferred
