Your new company
Established City based Wealth Management firm require an experienced Head of Financial Control to join their Senior finance leadership team to lead their financial control functions. The role reports into the CFO and will be jointly responsible for delivery of the finance vision and strategy to be a centre of excellence.
Your new role
Ensure that the Finance Department's Risk and Control self-assessment is kept up to date, act as a focal point and escalation route for the 1LOD activities; driving risk management culture and behaviours through regular interactions with colleagues across the firm, maintain and develop the finance control framework, monitor progress on 1LOD management actions to mitigate the risks and control issues, through actions from Compliance & Risk and Internal audit reviews, support the operational resilience by coordinating the review and testing of the department's business continuity plan and participating in scenario testing, SOX reporting, treasury and cash management, manage banking relationships, management of cash forecasting cycle, regular reporting, liquidity elements of ICARA and Liaison with external bodies including FCA, external auditors and internal auditors.
What you'll need to succeed
Fully qualified accountant ideally trained in practice (ACA or ACCA or international equivalent)) with minimum 3 years post qualified experience gained from working within a small to medium sized regulated Financial Services firm ideally within Wealth or Investment Management, preparation, and review of all aspects of Finance department operations within a regulated environment, analysis of control effectiveness through an external or internal audit background. Must have a good understanding of the tools and techniques of Risk Management, Strategic thinker with leadership experience with an emphasis on relationship management and communication with stakeholders.
