Job Responsibilities:

Strategic
  • Contribute to the development of Aviation Finance business, by enhancing and exploring new frontiers and opportunities for business growth
  • To originate, structure and execute deals by maintaining and building close relationships with aviation clients (both airlines and leasing companies), and working with the respective MUFG internal stakeholders


Financial
  • Achieve team profit target as well as applicable KPIs
  • Proactively manage the existing portfolio to minimise losses for the bank to the extent possible


Customer
  • Enhance and maintain close relationship with customers within Asia Pacific region


People
  • Assist and provide guidance to the junior staff to further enhance each individual's and team's potential and capabilities
  • To collaborate and work together with GAFO as one global aviation finance office


Other/ Control
  • Ensure that the transactions' risk profile fit the bank's requirements and provide in-depth analysis and assessment of transactional risks or other related aspects of the transactions and obtain necessary credit approvals from Head Office
  • To monitor and ensure credit compliance for executed transactions that has not been transferred to Portfolio Management
  • To comply with relevant MAS regulations and applicable MUFG group policies


Job Requirements:

  • Degree qualified
  • More than 5 years' work experience in Aviation Finance, within the banking industry, leasing or airline industries
  • Experience in debt structuring, project management, credit analysis and documentation
  • Strong skillsets to lead lending transactions
  • Strong client relationships with both airlines and leasing companies
  • Strong business acumen and ability to develop new revenue/cross selling opportunities with new and existing clients to grow the business
  • Meticulous and good team player
