Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an Associate Director, Client Services.

Principal Responsibilities
  • Primarily this role holder will look at managing our existing / prospect internal & external retail distributors
  • May have to further provide support to the other teams within Wholesale Business Department
  • Proactively monitor the operational process and bring to the attention of the management
  • Ensure regular Know Your Distributor (KYD) being performed and to update/provide documentation on all the Know Your Distributor related requirements
  • Ensure intermediary as well as end client related requests and enquiries are handled with high quality and within defined deadlines
  • Jot meeting notes during both internal and client meetings
  • Work closely with Client Operations and Compliance, help resolve client guideline breaches as well as cash flow management
  • Work with Marketing Team, Product Team and Investment Team to prepare product briefing deck for new product pitch or client presentation
  • Communicate with Product Team, Marketing Team and other internal teams to ensure the successful launch of new capabilities or product offerings
  • Manage the Request for Information and Request for Proposal process triggered by existing clients
  • Provide effective communications to the clients of changes within the company
Requirements
  • University Degree educated in Finance or related discipline
  • Great sense of ownership and servicing mindset to ensure efficient and effective customer service processes
  • Substantial years of experience in client facing or client support role within an asset management business
  • Candidate with less experience will be considered as Senior Manager role
  • Good understanding of investment products, capabilities and operations
  • Excellent people and communication skills, both spoken and written
  • Team player who is able to develop relationships at multiple levels
  • Demonstrated experience of making difficult decisions when faced with competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail and deadlines
  • Proficient in both verbal and written English and Chinese
