We have a unique opportunity for a Director- Investments. This position reports to the Vice President- Investments and will play a key role in the development and implementation of Investment Strategy of the Company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain strong interactive relationship with Investment Managers and other key partners.
  • Build and foster relationships with Investment Advisors.
  • Lead and coach the internal investment team.
  • Assist in the development of periodic reporting on the investment portfolios.
  • Assist in the periodic assessment of Asset Allocation for all portfolios.
  • Lead the selection process for new Investment Managers.
  • Analysis and recommendations on investment performance of the portfolio managed by external managers.
  • Play a leading role in the due diligence efforts for the onboarding of new asset classes and asset managers.
  • Participate and oversee Investment Strategy and Policy development, compliance, and enhancement.
  • Monitor and report on internally managed marketable securities and recommend changes to the assets where necessary.

 

Additional Duties:

  • Review the performance provided by Investment Managers on a quarterly and annual basis.
  • Prepare portfolio analysis at the manager/fund and total portfolio level using industry recognized reporting and analytical tools.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of asset classes and the institutional asset management industry by meeting with various asset managers on a regular basis.
  • Ensure investments are in compliance with investment policy statements and established parameters.
  • Prepare summarized analysis for Company Management review.
  • Provide reports for and participate in the quarterly meetings of the company’s Board of Directors.

Education, Experience, and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Economics, Finance.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst designation.
  • The ideal candidate will have 10 plus years of experience in investment markets.
  • Experience in using Bloomberg or other similar tools to analyze performance, complete attribution. analysis, and assess risk at the manager or asset class level.
  • Knowledge of a common programming language, Python or R, is desirable.
