Financial Controller | $140k-160k + super | Family Office

The Company

Our client who specialises in managing investments funds, financial assets and private wealth has an exciting opportunity for a Financial Controller to join a reputable and established family office located in Melbourne's inner suburbs. The ideal candidate will have private client, business services or prior family office experience and will lead a high performing close-knit team. Reporting directly to the Directors, the role will oversee the finance function of the organisation.

The Role

The main duties of the Financial Controller role will include but not limited to:

• Reconciliation and preparation of monthly financial accounts for all entities within the Group.
• Management of the outsourced investment reporting relationship.
• Responsible for the review and presentation of monthly Board Pack.
• Preparation of annual financial accounts for numerous trusts and companies.
• Preparation and analysis of Division 7A and inter-entity loan management, both at a strategic and operational level.
• Detailed understanding of the operation of Trust structures.
• Preparation of Trustee minutes and resolutions to give effect to annual distributions of income.
• Preparation of Income Tax calculations for all entities.
• Ability to develop and implement processes and procedures to generate efficiencies across the finance function.
• Treasury management of all cashflows including debt and foreign currencies.

Your Profile

You will have a relevant tertiary qualification in accounting and be part or fully CA/CPA qualified with experience in a similar role. You will have a high attention to detail and demonstrated experience with stakeholder management and excellent communication/leadership skills.
