Role Responsibilities

The role holder is accountable for overseeing wealth product related process design, preparing regulatory reporting and to oversee projects related to the implementation of system/platform for the Hong Kong wealth business. This includes being responsible to design, manage and implement end-to-end wealth product related sales policies and processes, with the aim of having the relevant internal standards and external regulations effectively implemented. The role holder also needs to ensure effectiveness in control design, governance oversights, and assurance framework to allow the wealth business to have a robust compliance framework in meeting the different standards and regulations. In terms of project management, the role holder will need to oversee project for the implementation of platform in a local setting and to work and coordinate with local stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure a smooth implementation of new systems and platforms.

Responsibilities *

Business Strategy Support *

• Support Line Manager to deliver business strategy and outcomes on standard metrics/scorecard.

• Be responsible for achieving the outcomes against the WM COO objectives set each year.

• Overseeing system/digital initiatives and system/platform change management across all products to ensure flawless execution and compliance.

• Able to represent WM COO function in engaging key stakeholders including 2 nd and 3 rd lines of defence along with the broader CPBB business to ensure alignment across governance and control standards in terms of project / product / process delivery.

• Provide cross team support to develop and sustain a compliance culture by contributing and sharing ideas, views and taking necessary action if needed.

• Preparing of regulatory reports - Ensure the accurate and timely preparation and filling of various regulatory reports/surveys for the bank, in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Project Management *

• Be the local lead for the implementation of group systems in a local setting by coordinating with different stakeholders and subject matter experts to ensure the project is delivered on time.

• Work with local business to ensure the specification of the design of the system / platform matches with local business needs.

• Work with risk partners to ensure the project meets internal standard in terms of process implementation.

Processes and Policies *

• Improve and simplify wealth product related policies and process with the aim of achieving efficiency gains.

• Provide ad hoc and refreshment trainings to frontline to uplift frontline awareness of the bank's wealth process and policies.

• Design, maintain and implement end-to-end wealth product related policies and processes for new initiatives to ensure there is an effective selling process that not only complies with internal and external requirements but also having the efficiency to allow our frontline to provide a great experience to our clients

• Identify, assess and mitigate gaps in processes to ensure all issues are solved in a timely manner.

Governance and Risk Management *

• Identification, escalation, analysis, and remediation of risk issues in line with the standards laid out in the Group Enterprise Risk Type Framework and the Group Operational & Technology Risk Type Framework.

• Role model a good risk culture, including speaking up and challenging examples of poor conduct

• Be responsible for ensuring compliance with the highest standards of regulatory conduct and compliance standards as defined by internal and external requirements.

• Work with related risk partners and WM business to ensure execution of any first line self-assessment and to report on and analyse the root cause of any risk matters associated with wealth products. Ensure that identified risks are subject to appropriate remedial action, escalated to the relevant risk forum if required and followed through to closure.

• Responsible to upkeep management control awareness of the wealth business.

• Support WM COO team and local business partners to ensure satisfactory audit outcomes by ensuring no controllable findings in responsible areas

• Implement control and monitoring including contributing to the development of a proper sales assurance surveillance.

Our Ideal Candidate *

• University degree in Computer Science, Finance, Business Administration or related discipline.

• At least 5 years of marketing experiences in banking or finance industry, preferably in Private Banking / Affluent Marketing. Experience on event management is a must.

• Good knowledge of private bank operations, wealth management products and related processes

• Proficiencies in Wealth Products and Hong Kong wealth product related regulations

• Adequate understanding of sales policies and procedures, governance requirements and audit requirements

Skills *

• Good skills in Microsoft office application, especially the strong ability in data analytic

• Strong project management, change management delivery experience and knowledge

• Be responsible, highly collaborative, ability in effectively communication and stakeholder engagement and take ownership and accountability

• Strong understanding of risk and control, ability to evaluate and manage multi-faceted risks with strong execution skills and problem-solving abilities

• Ability to deliver and work in a potentially high-pressure environment under compressed timelines

• Interpersonal skills and people management skills.
