Position Purpose

Support Sustainable Finance activities, originate and execute sustainable finance transactions across relevant GBLs in GM and Capital Markets Group and support the Bank's ongoing integration of sustainability and market leadership development

Responsibilities
  • Support SCM APAC and other key internal stakeholders on sustainable finance deals from preparing pitching/marketing/translation, deal execution including sustainable finance framework development, engagement with external reviewers, roadshow materials, ESG investor engagement, post-issuance reporting guidance to ongoing sustainability support for clients
  • Assist in research and analysis (clients, industries, market data etc.) related to sustainable finance market, new sustainability trends and ESG risk management trends
  • Provide assistance to the team in maintaining the sustainable finance pipeline and preparing internal presentations for various management committees
  • Prepare training packs on sustainable finance initiatives / products
  • Maintain constructive relationships with the stakeholders in the ESG community in APAC and globally
  • Assist to prepare the periodic reporting for the monitoring of the Sustainable Finance and CSR activities
  • Enhance the reporting tools and dashboards to further streamline and strengthen the periodic reporting of the Sustainable Finance
  • Maintain a revenue dashboard for sustainable finance activities


Technical and Behavioral Competencies required
  • The ideal candidate should be a self-motivated individual with the ability to think and operate on his/her own with strong team spirit
  • The person needs to be passionate about sustainability and has good basic understanding of the evolution of ESG reporting, ESG investing and/or sustainable bond markets from policy, issuance to investing
  • The candidate needs to be able to perform well under tight timelines and heavy workload
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and strong sense of teamwork
  • The candidate needs to be fluent in English and in one of the main Asian languages such as Chinese Mandarin or Korean (written and spoken)
  • Experience in doing research based on external data providers (e.g. MSCI ESG Ratings, Bloomberg Terminal)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office PowerPoint, Word, Excel including data mining abilities, usage of pivot tables etc.
Experience and Qualifications required
  • prior experience in investment banking or in sustainability / ESG related topics are a plus
