Investment Counsellor, Team Head - Private Bank

Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

• Lead, mentor, and inspire a small team of investment advisors to achieve individual and team performance goals.
• Provide coaching, feedback, and guidance to team members to enhance their professional development and overall performance.
• Conduct regular team meetings and performance reviews to monitor progress and address any challenges or concerns.

Client Relationship Management:

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with high-net-worth individuals and institutions in the North Asian market, predominantly Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Collaborate with investment advisors to understand clients' financial needs, risk tolerance, and investment objectives.
• Ensure exceptional client service by providing personalized investment advice and recommending suitable financial products.

Investment Advisory:

• Stay up-to-date with market trends, investment products, and regulatory changes affecting the financial industry, particularly in the North Asian market.
• Work closely with the team to develop investment strategies and tailor investment portfolios to meet the unique needs and goals of clients.
• Conduct in-depth research and analysis on investment opportunities, providing expert advice and recommendations to clients.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure the team adheres to all relevant regulatory and compliance policies and guidelines.
• Monitor and mitigate potential risks associated with investment advisory activities.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as legal and compliance teams, to address any compliance-related issues.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
• Fluency in Mandarin is essential. Proficiency in English and other languages is an advantage.
• Proven experience as a Team Manager or similar leadership role in the wealth management or private banking industry.
• Deep understanding of investment advisory practices, financial markets, and wealth management products.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with clients and team members from diverse backgrounds.
