Job Duties: Vice President with Goldman Sachs Bank USA in New York, New York. Software engineering role responsible for building new and maintaining existing enterprise applications and consumer products used globally by using various, backend technologies (such as Java, Spring or Hibernate), cloud computing (such as AWS, PCF) and database technologies (such as MySQL, Mongo, Cassandra or Relational Databases). Work across all phases of the software development cycle including requirements analysis, design, coding, building, testing, maintenance, and deployment of commercial scale software changes. Participate in technical design and development for both business-driven and infrastructure projects with minimal supervision. Mentor support teams to troubleshoot and solve production issue affecting applications. Review new tools and technologies for proof of concepts and come up with recommendations. Collaborate with globally located cross functional teams in building customer-centric retail consumer banking products or supporting services. Independently build trusted partnerships with product managers, vendors, and external partners.
Job Requirements: Master's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Technology and Analytics, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software engineering or full-stack software engineering position or Bachelor's degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, Information Technology and Analytics, or a related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or in a related software engineering or full-stack software engineering position. Prior experience must include two (2) years with master's degree or five (5) years with bachelor's degree with the following: building scalable REST APIs in Java to support high-volume requests; using multi-tiered web applications, including application architectures and application integration; implementing design patterns utilizing SOA and micro-services; programming technologies including Java, Spring, Hibernate, RabbitMQ or Kafka; open-source frameworks and API's including Spring Boot, Drop wizard, Log4J, Mockito, or Junit; relational and NoSQL databases technologies including Cassandra, MongoDB etc.; utilizing source control management systems including Subversion or Gitlab; working through the software development lifecycle; and implementing Test driven development and performing testing to build reliable and resilient applications.
Salary Range: The expected annual base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $167,000 - $250,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
