We are currently seeking a Senior Equity Research Analyst to cover the Technology or Communications Services sectors. The ideal Analyst will have 8 to 12 years of related research experience in fundamental analysis with a value discipline in one or both sectors, will be a creative thinker, and have direct experience making price-based investment recommendations as a trusted partner in the equity investment process.
We will consider candidates with a variety of backgrounds such as institutional portfolio management and hedge funds. This position will reside in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Templeton is part of Franklin Templeton Investments and a leading global investment organization with a rigorous valuation methodology and a singular culture, philosophy, and process.
What are the ongoing responsibilities of a Portfolio Analyst?
- Independently identify and evaluate profitable investment opportunities amongst listed in the US and broader Americas. Conduct thorough fundamental analysis of a company’s business and financial position, including cash flow analysis, balance sheet and income statement evaluations, and draw insightful conclusions. Communicate and advocate for investment opportunities verbally and through written research reports. Contribution to relevant equity portfolios as a team member
What ideal qualifications, skills & experience would help someone to be successful?
- Requires 8-12 years of fundamental equity research experience covering the technology or Communication Services sectors Strong numeric, analytical and investment skills Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written9 Investment performance track record an asset. Bachelor's degree and CFA required. MBA preferred. Buy-Side Equity Research experience with similar coverage.
