We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Manager based in Sydney to join our Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) Finance Risk Assurance and Advisory team as the Policy Lead. CGM Finance is the aligned Finance team for Commodities and Global Markets, which provides clients with an integrated, end-to-end offering across global markets including equities, fixed income, foreign exchange and commodities.

Working closely with the CGM aligned Finance team globally and with the wider risk teams within Macquarie, you'll:
  • Prepare, develop and enhance CGM Finance owned policy, standards and procedures to ensure alignment with Group wide and Financial Management Group frameworks;
  • Work with BAU policy owners to ensure policies are kept up-to-date;
  • Maintain, monitor and communicate policies / standards are a regular basis;
  • Monitor the effectiveness of key controls and compliance with our policies and standards
  • Act as a trusted expert to provide advice for CGM Finance staff on the requirements of policies and standards
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders in Financial Management group, Commodities and Global Markets Group and Risk Management Group.
To be successful, you will hold relevant qualifications in Commerce/Accounting, Law, Finance or a similar discipline. You will have working experience in policy governance, compliance, Big 4 consulting or finance roles. Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal clients and other internal risk teams, will be key. You will have strong communication skills (written and verbal) which allow you to communicate effectively through policy report writing and influencing a wide variety of stakeholders located globally. Experience gained in the financial services sector, in a trading environment in areas such as product control, independent valuations or financial control, either in-house or working with clients in a professional services environment is highly desirable.
