Role Description / Areas of Responsibility
The candidate will be working to support the global Risk and Control function which comprise of Risk and Control, Regulatory Reporting and Reconciliation across the following areas:
• Performance Management
• Project & Change Management
• Other Coordination & Governance Activities
Main responsibilities are:
Performance Management
• Drive improvements relating to measurement of performance measures ensure all areas are captured and reported.
• Perform trend and root cause analysis of performance measures, to drive enhancements and improve the controls / efficiency
• Represent performance management in relevant meetings with stakeholders to discuss projects, issues and outstanding items
Project & Change Management
• Manage a range of Project & Change initiatives for the Global Risk and Control function. This will include project management - tracking status of projects, key milestones, deliverables, assessing project RAG status, reporting to management.
• Support Project & Change initiatives of a global nature, where the regional head of operations has a global remit, including - Risk and Control, Reconciliations, Transaction Reporting. This will involve coordination across multiple teams in region and globally.
Other Coordination & Governance Activities
• Candidate should be able to understand a set of concepts and translate this into materials that articulate a clear message with supporting arguments and data sets.
• Act as the secretary for global R&C meetings including prepare for agenda, tracking actions
• Prepare presentation materials ready to be consumed by senior operations executive management and other senior management.
• Assist in the coordination of workshops. Liaison with participants, gathering and preparation of relevant materials, coordination of logistics.
Other
• Ensure all processes and procedures are in compliance with internal/external policies and regulations.
• Ensure issues are escalated appropriately, and drive agreed resolution with stakeholders.
• Ensure outstanding actions are closed out resolved by agreed timeline.
Requirements
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent education is required
• Excellent Powerpoint and Excel skills
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Good analytical skills and ability to multi-task and work under pressure
• Familiarity with emerging/ disruptive technology such as robotics will be an advantage
