Global Asset Management, the investment management business of the HSBC Group, serves HSBC's worldwide customer base of retail and private clients, intermediaries, corporates and institutions invested in both segregated accounts and pooled funds. Global Asset Management fulfills its purpose of connecting HSBC's clients with investment opportunities around the world through an international network of offices in approximately 30 countries, delivering global capabilities with local market insight.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a Client Services Manager, Institutional Business.

Principal Responsibilities
  • The role holder will be a member of the Institutional Business team, under the leadership of Asia Coverage Lead for HSBC Life Insurance, and Head of Institutional Sales South Asia & Global Head of HSBC Life
  • The individual will be part of small team of onshore and offshore staff dedicated to support and deliver best-in-class client service and sales support to our insurance client. The role holder will work with Client Managers and various internal stakeholders to develop our customer solutions and improve the client's experience
  • Key activities expected from the role holder include (but are not limited to):
    • Deliver client services associated with the relevant asset classes across traditional and alternative investments
    • Participate in client calls and meetings for ongoing account servicing, including regular investment pipeline meetings
    • Provide timely and accurate responses to client inquiries
    • Manage the production and delivery of client reporting and presentation materials working closely with internal teams
    • Support client managers in delivering on client requirements for existing and new business, including discussions on operating model and service level with internal functions and client
    • Regular review of client's investment guidelines by coordinating with the investment and support teams
    • Timely updating of issue and error logs impacting client portfolios and conduct regular meetings with internal support functions to maintain smooth client processes and accurate deliverables
    • Timing updating of client relationship management (CRM) portal
    • Ensure adherence and compliance to all regulatory and internal requirements for the ongoing servicing to client
Requirements
  • Relevant experience in client services, asset management and/or relevant professional qualifications is helpful
  • Good knowledge and understanding of investments, asset classes, asset management industry and investment flows
  • Specific knowledge of insurance investment an advantage
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentational skills
  • Excellent organization and communication skills required
  • Highly organized and achievement oriented with a hands-on mentality
  • Proficiency in English and Chinese (Cantonese) an advantage
  • Ability to work and communicate effectively across various groups, global regions, and lines of business
  • Ability to represent AM and communicate very effectively in all interactions with clients
  • Strong team and interpersonal skills
