Duration: 6 months
Salary: £250 - £350 per day
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Legal Entity Controller in ensuring the accounting ledger is robust and accurate. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
Review and preparation of regulatory submissions (e.g. FSA Returns, ICARA,) are prepared and submitted on time. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
Supporting the Statutory reporting process and output. This involves, but is not limited to:
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of Key Risk Indicators to Risk and Compliance for inclusion within the Risk and Compliance Committee papers. This involves, but is not limited to:
Liquidity and capital monitoring and reporting. This involves, but is not limited to:
Ensuring ongoing liquidity and capital management reflects any latest developments in regulatory reporting
Climate Impact measuring, reporting and monitoring
AUM, cash flow and other reporting deliverables

Amazing opportunity to work at a global Investment Bank as a Finance Accountant!
Job Title: Accountant - Finance
Location: Edinburgh
Duration: 6 months
Salary: £250 - £350 per day
Responsibilities:
Supporting the Legal Entity Controller in ensuring the accounting ledger is robust and accurate. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
- review and facilitate the approval of journal entries and inter-company transactions
- prepare journal entries for non-recurring one time business related transactions as required
- prepare recurring, accrual and reversing journal entries
- performance of operational activities necessary as part of the daily management of cash eg sales of foreign currency in line with expectations future transactions
- preparation of all material to support regular VAT submissions including the annual VAT recovery calculation
Review and preparation of regulatory submissions (e.g. FSA Returns, ICARA,) are prepared and submitted on time. Activities will include, but are not limited to:
- review of underlying workings prepared by another
- understanding of regulatory requirements and guidance
- liaison with regulatory reporting team
- completion of any related attestations
- preparation of monthly liquidity reporting requirements
Supporting the Statutory reporting process and output. This involves, but is not limited to:
- preparation of items included on the PBC list and all other requests from external audit to ensure timely and accurate responses
- walk-through of finance processes and controls with external audit and respond to queries as part of the statutory audit
- where necessary and as instructed by the Legal Entity Controller prepare schedules / papers and other content for support/ inclusion within the statutory accounts in a timely and accurate manner
Ensure timely and accurate reporting of Key Risk Indicators to Risk and Compliance for inclusion within the Risk and Compliance Committee papers. This involves, but is not limited to:
- Preparation of of underlying workings prepared by another
- liaison with the Risk and Compliance
Liquidity and capital monitoring and reporting. This involves, but is not limited to:
- Preparation of the monthly liquidity dashboard
Ensuring ongoing liquidity and capital management reflects any latest developments in regulatory reporting
Climate Impact measuring, reporting and monitoring
- Prepare carbon emission disclosures as determined by regulations and internal management requirements
- Contribute to the ongoing management of the firm's operational carbon emissions through the development and delivery of carbon management initiatives
AUM, cash flow and other reporting deliverables
- Support the reporting of AUM and cash flows
- Prepare analysis to support the alpha calculation that is utilised as part of the analytics / commentary that supports the financials
- Contribute to the team's response to RFP questions and other client related questions.
