An excellent opportunity to play a leading role in creating an identity for a new team that holds a key role in the successful delivery of the strategy for the Commodities and Global Markets (CGM) Technology team at Macquarie.

Combining your skills and experience in PowerBI in applying them to governing and managing performance for a portfolio across a geographically dispersed technology team, you will be instrumental in supporting a wide range of stakeholders within the Business and Technology Delivery teams.

You will thrive in a fast-paced, project delivery focused environment and draw on your collaborative and analytical skills to identify areas for improving Delivery performance for our stakeholders in an area with a significant portfolio of work. You will think critically to understand and navigate business challenges and use your exceptional communication skills to negotiate and manage through ambiguity.

To be successful in this role you will have:
  • Develop datasets, data models and visualisations based on complex data and requirements in PowerQuery, PowerBI DAX and Power Automate for ongoing strategic management insights.
  • Experience/Capability in the use of the following:
    • MS PowerBI, Power Automate, Excel VBA (mandatory);
    • Data ETL process and tools;
    • DataVerse and PowerApps (extremely desirable);
    • Python development;
  • Creativity and visualisation skills to enable the effective communication of concepts to wide audience (via Sharepoint/Powerpoint).
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role providing excellent analytical reporting and recommendations.
  • Have a strong sense of ownership, accountability and integrity.
  • Capability in distilling complex messages into tight communication messaging.
  • Be flexible and adaptable in a dynamic environment where priorities shift as we manage across multiple projects and hard deadlines.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with demonstrable experience influencing across Technology and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Prior experience writing high-quality policies, guides / frameworks desirable.
  • Knowledge of reporting and system tools, and technical experience in relevant systems.
Responsibilities include:
  • Working in a PMO function with a focus on project/performance analysis in a complex, cross-functional corporate services environment.
  • Ensure governance alignment for all portfolios; provide monitoring and escalation paths for program related issues or risks, or cross portfolio themes that require attention.
  • Conduct due diligence on project status reporting.
  • Conduct and manage internal health checks and collate insights from project status reporting.
  • Provide regular reporting to key executive stakeholders to ensure program level information is communicated promptly and facilitates high level decision making.
  • Coordinate and execute reporting outputs and activities across the team.
  • Consolidation, standardisation, automation of Reporting and metrics.
  • Provision of supporting commentary on selected Reports.
  • Design, develop, document, test, go-live, maintain Analytical Reports.
  • Act as a contact point and coordinate information requests, requirements and enquiries.
