Job Summary:
Policy and Secretariat Services is responsible for implementing the policy agenda set by the Listing Committee, coordinating policy initiatives and developments, and taking the lead on policy matters affecting listing applicants, listed companies and the operation of Listing. It is also responsible for providing secretariat support to the Listing Committee and Listing Review Committee. In addition, it assists with Listing's regular and ad-hoc reporting obligations, provides research support and data analysis, formulates and monitors Listing's annual budget, contingency arrangements and also monitors the implementation of the Exchange's administrative, policy and support initiatives.

Job Duties:

Responsibilities:
  • Provide secretariat support to Listing Committee and/or Listing Review Committee as required
  • Support the development of listing policies
  • Conduct legal, regulatory and general research and data analysis
  • Draft policy papers and external papers for publication
  • Analyse legal and regulatory issues and prepare advice and regulatory alerts
Requirements:
  • Candidate should be a qualified lawyer or university graduate in a relevant discipline with at least 7 years working experience in law, corporate finance, investment banking or a related field
  • Good knowledge of the Hong Kong securities market/ industry and its practices including the Listing Rules, Hong Kong securities laws and company laws
  • Strong research, analytical skills and problem solving skills
  • Good communicator with strong writing ability, presentation skills and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in working independently with little direct supervision in a work environment that requires the exercise of judgement
  • High standards of integrity and a strong sense of professional ethics
  • Good computer skills and knowledge of computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Strong command of written and spoken English and Chinese, proficiency in Putonghua is an advantage
