Assistant Manager / Manager - Financial Reporting / Investment Reporting

Job Responsibilities:

Check daily trade and settlement reports, identify key parameters and prepare accounting entries for confirmed trades and cash-flows
Reconcile trade/settlement records booked in accounting system with front/middle office EOD position reports, and provide feedback for any discrepancies
Collect investment closing price from Bloomberg/valuation statements/etc., calculate investment gains/losses and complete monthly accounting closing
Prepare bank/broker reconciliation for responsible Group companies and keep proper documentation for breakdown of certain ledger accounts
Coordinate in Group audit and prepare annual reports for core Group subsidiaries
Understand the business logic, transaction details of one or more investment types, assist in communication with relevant business units on financial data analysis and project management
Handle ad hoc duties as required

Job Specification:

Degree holder in Accountancy, Finance or related discipline
5 years or above working experience in financial industry, accounting experience in proprietary trading is preferred
Professional accountancy qualification such as HKICPA/ACCA or equivalent is an advantage
Knowledge in financial instruments is preferred, including but not limited to equity, bonds, funds, futures/options, warrants/CBBCs, total return swaps, leveraged notes
Proactive, detail-minded, with good communication skills and understanding skills
Good command of both written & spoken English and Chinese including Putonghua
Advanced proficient in MS Excel
Candidates with less experience will be considered for Assistant Manager position
