As a Barclays VP Employee Relations Specialist, this is an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference at Barclays as you provide commercial, pragmatic and timely advice to our stakeholders in order to mitigate employee legal and reputational risk. In this role, you will be coordinating with your global counterparts to ensure appropriate alignment. In addition, you will be participating in the creation and delivery of ER metrics to Support Adverse Findings escalations and ongoing ER policy work (ER global policy subservice).

Salary / Rate Minimum: $150,000
Salary / Rate Maximum: $225,000

We are currently in the early stages of implementing a hybrid working environment, which means that many colleagues spend part of their working hours at home and part in the office, depending on the nature of the role they are in. We're flexible on how this works and it may continue to change and evolve. What will you be doing?

• Conducting workplace investigations into claims of inappropriate behaviour and conduct
• Investigating concerns and complaints that are raised in a fair and balanced way
• Providing advice and counsel to HR Business Partners and business managers on how to best coach managers and employees through complex employee issues
• Working in close partnership with the HR Business Partners and Employment, Incentives, and Pensions Legal team to understand business plans and challenges
• Providing advice in respect to executing on organizational change, including restructuring and reductions in force
• Creating and delivering ER training in coordination with our control partners with a focus on prevention
• Providing commercial, pragmatic and timely advice to stakeholders regarding underperforming employees which could result in disciplinary action
• Overseeing various projects and initiatives including new legislation in employment law and updating relevant ER policies as well as managing wellbeing initiatives

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS)
• Five or more years' experience as a legal professional orTen or more years as an HR professional, HR Business Partner experience preferable
• Excellent and constant attention to detail, with advanced analytical, creative thinking and problem-solving skills
• Proven ability to manage and navigate through complex change and managing multiple differing priorities

Skills that will help you in the role:

• Law degree or Master's Degree in HR is preferred
• Relevant experience within financial services preferably Investment Banking
• Experience with senior stakeholders
• An understanding of employment legislation in the US along with familiarity with UK employment law and requirements with respect to UK Conduct Rules

You will be working at our Americas Headquarters at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the facade of the building.
