Purpose of role

The purpose of the role is to act as Head of Derivatives Execution & Clearing for institutional Clients APAC representative in the assigned market(s)

Key Responsibilities of role

Operating autonomously with responsibility to report and escalate to line management:
  • Put in place adequate processes and controls to achieve all objectives below as well as those assigned from time to time by management
  • Take ownership of P&L objectives on the allocated scope (clients and prospects)
  • On the coverage region / country allocated, define the commercial strategy for ETD Clearing and OTC clearing business: target markets, target clients, service offering, pricing, competitive positioning, etc.
  • Position DEC business vis-à-vis internal and external stakeholders (sales and GM and 2S coverage teams) and establish commercial plans with them
  • Maintain a tight control over deals pipeline, coordinate with all sales / coverage teams and manage related action plans
  • Manage the end-to-end Sales process with external clients on the allocated scope (e.g. pitches, answers to RFPs, pricing and legal negotiation, credit approval, relationship monitoring)
  • Manage an efficient transfer of mandated deals to the on-boarding team
  • Keep an oversight on all clients one the allocated scope of business, and ultimate responsibility of the relationships
  • Provide market intelligence and rationale on clients' needs, competition moves and regulatory evolution in collaboration with the Product team
  • Make sure the general pitch book reflects DEC actual offer and BNPP standards in APAC. Also ensure it's coordinated with the global offering for all DEC products.
  • Contribute to the marketing of DEC, in collaboration with Product and Marketing teams
  • Provide support to the Sales team and the broader DEC team as and when needed
Skill, Experience & Competencies
  • At least 5years experience in a similar role and in financing and derivatives execution and clearing flow in the prime brokerage business
  • Substantial experience in Sales, winning new clearing mandates and maintaining client relationships
