Global macro hedge fund seeks experienced Operations professional to join their New York team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
*Oversight of all front-to-back functions in support of the firm's trading desk including, confirmations, controls, investigations, position-keeping, reconciliations, settlements, trade capture;
*Oversight of tactical and strategic project management agenda across Operations with a focus on driving transformation, improving controls and efficiencies;
*Oversight of integration and onboarding of new products and strategies;
*Continuously monitor, review and, where appropriate, upgrade operational policies and procedures;
*Manage internal relationships across Compliance, Finance, Legal, Quants, Risk, Technology, Trading and Treasury;
*Point of contact with third parties, ie: Auditor, Counterparties, Fund Administrator, Prime Brokers etc;
*Management of a small team;
The successful candidate will possess the following:
*5+ years' relevant middle office/operations/product control/trading support experience in asset management, bank, hedge fund or trading firm;
*Knowledge spanning Credit, Fixed Income, FX, Rates and Derivatives products;
*Experience automating and optimizing processes and workflows;
*Advanced Excel/VBA required;
*Ability to work to deadlines and to operate effectively in a collaborative team environment;
*Outstanding presentation and communication skills (written/verbal);
*Some people management management or supervisory experience preferred;
*A high degree of motivation, intellectual curiosity and delivery focus;
*Minimum Bachelors degree in engineering, finance, math or similar;
*Professional certification, ie: CFA, preferred but not required;
Base salary $150,000 + annual discretionary bonus.
