NDB Zephyr is a joint venture between NDB Capital Holdings Limited, subsidiary of National Development Bank PLC and Zephyr Management L.P, New York based leading emerging market Private Equity (PE) fund manager. NDB Zephyr manages Emerald Sri Lanka Fund, leading PE fund backed by institutional investors such as IFC, DEG, FMO and NDB Capital Holdings Limited.

The Job:

He/she will be provided with an exceptional platform to get exposure across all facets of investment analysis and portfolio management. Selected candidate will get opportunities to lead specific assignments and interact with external parties such as promoters and advisors independently. The job responsibilities will include the following;

• Independently performing quantitative and qualitative analysis used to support the underwriting of potential investment opportunities
• Preparing, updating and reviewing detailed financial models to support investment evaluation efforts incorporating relevant scenario analysis
• Working with deal-lead and third-party consultants to conduct commercial, legal, and financial due diligence on investment opportunities
• Preparing investment memos and other materials used to support investment recommendations
• Working with deal-lead to formulate growth strategies for portfolio companies
• Working with deal-lead and senior management of portfolio companies in managing and exiting of portfolio of investments / companies
• Maintaining a working knowledge of relevant industry dynamics and change in macro-economic conditions to determine the impact on investments
• Conducting various tasks related to investor reports, portfolio reports, industry research and marketing efforts

The Person:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting, management, engineering or economics
• Master’s degree or CFA/CIMA qualifications will be an added advantage
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in prominent institutions engaged in one of the following businesses - private equity, fund management, investment banking or equity research
• Sound knowledge of financial concepts in corporate finance, valuation methods and accounting
• Extensive financial modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills
• Strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
• Experience in financial databases (e.g.: Bloomberg, capitalIQ, etc.) will be an added advantage
• Ability to work within a team and willingness to learn and take responsibilities to deliver within stringent timelines 
• Excellent written and oral communication skills in English
