About our client

Our client is a prestigious investment fund with a strong track record and global investment remit. This is an exciting and rare opportunity for an Associate Principal or Principal to join their team based in the United Arab Emirates. The role will focus on global special situations investments in global public and private markets, including both equity and credit, with a focus on restructuring investment opportunities. What the job involves

  • Generate deal flow and investment ideas considering all relevant macro and industry trends in accordance with the special situations investment mandate
  • Responsible for the entire life cycle of investments: screening & analysis, presentation at investment committee, monitoring of investments and overseeing the exit
  • Prepares, presents and defends internal investment recommendations
  • Maintaining a constant awareness of activities in assigned sectors/geographic locations for the purpose of identifying potential investment opportunities
Who we are looking for

  • Significant transaction experience and proven track record of evaluating, underwriting and executing investment opportunities in the asset classes which GSS invests in
  • Significant experience in restructuring / distressed investments is essential
  • Strong understanding of business models and value-drivers is essential
  • Ability to underwrite in-depth business plans / models for both equity & credit investments, across a multitude of sectors & geographies
  • You should have a degree and / or MBA from a top-tier university
