We are searching for a Collections Manager to oversee a team of collection officers and oversee the procedures to reduce delinquency and default as well as reduce write-offs. Ensure that Collection Policies and SOPs are updated and followed as well as setting up new policies on future new product launches
To ensure success as a Collection Manager, you should possess analytical skills and have great report writing skills. Collection manager should have extensive knowledge of collection-related laws, and continuously find ways to improve the company's debt recovery.
What you will do:
  • Developing and implementing collection strategies and policies
  • Managing and leading a team of collection officers
  • Manage escalated cases raised by the team
  • Handle complaint relating to collection team
  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with internal and external clients
  • Reviewing and analyzing credit reports and financial reports to assess risk and determine appropriate collection strategies
  • Monitoring and tracking of collection performance and identifying areas for improvement
  • Preparing monthly reports on collection recoveries
  • Ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to collections
  • Be informed of any latest legislative procedural regarding debt collection
  • Proficient in debt-related legal provisions
  • Sourcing, assessing and recommending external vendors relating to collection recovery.
  • Any other ad hoc tasks assigned

What we are looking for:
  • Preferably experienced with SME financial products
  • Proven experience as collection manager or similar role
  • Preferably more than 5 years of debt collection experience in finance field
  • Knowledge of accounting principles, debt collection laws and regulations and credit risk analysis
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and databases
  • Familiarity with laws and legal procedures related to debt collection
  • Excellent verbal communication and negotiation skills.
