The Role: Software Developer II

The Location : Princeton, NJ (Hybrid)

Grade : 9 (for internal use only)

What's in it for you:

The Company Information System team within S&P Global, Market Intelligence is looking for a Software Engineer II with strong experience developing large-scale systems to handle huge data transfers and perform calculations based on business needs. This position requires strong analytical and development skills. You must be a quick learner who is highly motivated and willing to tackle new technologies while being able to work collaboratively as an integral part of our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to develop a close team dynamic with coworkers from around the globe.

Responsibilities:
  • Develop applications, components, and common services based on development models, languages, and tools, including unit testing, performance testing, and monitoring and implementation
  • Support business and technology teams as necessary during development and delivery to ensure scalable and robust solutions
  • Build data-intensive applications and services to support and enhance fundamental financials in appropriate technologies . (C#, .Net Core, Databricks, Spark, Python, Scala, NIFI, SQL)
  • Provide operations support to resolve issues proactively and with utmost urgency
  • Effective written and oral communication skills with the business and other technical groups
What We're Looking For:

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's / Master's Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of strong hand-development experience in C#, .Net Core, and MS SQL Server backend development.
  • Advance SQL programming skills
  • Understanding of database performance tuning in large datasets
  • Excellent logical, analytical, and communication skills are essential, with strong verbal and writing proficiencies
  • Proficiency with one or more of the following technologies:
  • Scripting (Bash, Scala, Perl, Powershell )
  • Good knowledge of Cloud Computing
  • Database systems (SQL, MS SQL)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Knowledge of the fundamentals, or the financial industry is highly preferred.
  • Nice to have technologies Databricks, Spark, and Scala.
Compensation and Benefits Information:

S&P Global states that the anticipated base salary range for this position is $58,300 - $115,850. Base salary ranges may vary by geographic location.

In addition to base compensation, this role is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.
