Lazard Asset Management (LAM) Technology is looking for a Backend / Data Developer with experience in development using modern frameworks like Python Flask, Nest.JS, and dot net core / entity frameworks. As part of the Portfolio Management/Risk team, the candidate will collaborate with cross functional teams to support/develop applications utilized by portfolio/risk managers and research analysts. Ideal candidates will have strong data & ETL experience and come from similar projects that work in an Agile environment. This role requires a highly motivated, organized, and experienced developer with pride of ownership reflected through code quality and a disciplined software development approach. Knowledge/experience within the asset management industry is a plus.

We'll trust you to:

Help develop and support data pipelines

Build APIs and support other backend processes

Help develop user facing interactive dashboards/reports with a focus on visual appeal, responsiveness, performance, testing and usability

You'll need to have:

4+ years' experience in backend development languages - .Net highly preferred

C# knowledge with multi-thread experience required

Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, views, pivots, and migrations

Agile Development Experience and passion to speak up and deliver user stories

Exposure to one or more modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)

Proficiency working with RESTful services and APIs

Ability to optimize code for performance and memory usage

Creative problem-solving skills with the ability to present multiple solutions and potential side effects

BS/MS in Computer Science or Information Technology - equivalent experiences accepted.

Experience building Angular, JavaScript, CSS3 & HTML5 applications preferred

Experience building applications in a monorepo framework (Nx) preferred

Working knowledge of Microsoft IIS, Amazon AWS EC2/S3/RDS preferred

We expect the base salary range for this role to be approximately $120,000 - $175,000. Various factors contribute to determining the actual base compensation offered, including but not limited to the applicant's years of relevant experience, career tenure, qualifications, level of education attained, certifications or other professional licenses held, relevant skills for the role, and if applicable, the location in which the applicant lives and/or from which they will be performing the job. Base salary is one component of Lazard Asset Management's compensation package, which also includes comprehensive benefits and may include incentive compensation.
