We are working on a rare and exciting opportunity with a large Investment Management business, which is looking to add an Associate to their team in their London office. What the job involves
- Investment due diligence (quantitative modelling and qualitative analysis of investment opportunities including preparation and review of commercial and financial due diligence and valuation and returns analysis)
- Opportunity to participate in the entire deal process within the direct investing team
- Contributing to origination activities with sector and target research and analysis
- Collaboration with internal stakeholders including tax, investment legal, operational due diligence and compliance
- Co-ordination of external advisors including investment banks, General Partners (GPs), external counsel and other advisers
- Liaise with potential and existing investee companies
- Initiate and build relationships across advisory network and with investment professional peers
- Assist asset management activities across the Direct Equity and Private Equity Funds portfolios including interaction with GPs and review of their fund performance, interaction with senior management at investee companies
- Associate level experience in investment banking, ideally with exposure to infrastructure investments
- Strong cashflow modelling skills (e.g. LBO and/or DCF modelling) considered a plus although training will be provided
- Competent with Microsoft Excel, Word and Powerpoint
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to develop internal and external relationships
- A strong team player contributing to a supportive and collaborative working environment
- Ability to work in the UK with occasional travel to Europe, US and Australia
