TITLE: Director, Commercial Real Estate (CRE)
LOCATION: New York, NY
DUTIES: Originating and structuring real estate financing transactions. Execution of financing transactions covering all aspects required for successful closure of transactions. Assessment on the eligibility of approving lending transactions based on the delegated credit approval chain. Implementing origination strategy for existing clients and prospective clients based in the US and international investment corridors for real estate into the US. Client relationship pitching for real estate opportunities on bank products (lending, advisory, financial markets). Drafting addendums to the existing Global SCB real estate processes and procedures and underwriting principals that the bank currently has implemented for compliance of US Fed regulations to book loans in the US. Assessment of third party reports in order to determine whether specific properties will provide adequate protection and suitable security for loans and syndicated loans. Reviewing financial modeling and debt capacity for the real estate industry. Review of internal credit risk approval papers including Business Credit Applications and Preliminary Screening Reviews. Perform deal economics and the pricing of facilities. Review, and monitoring of the real estate portfolio in the US internally. Review independent appraisals and valuations, financials covenants and risk triggers on real estate loans.
REQTS: Must have a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Business Administration, Finance or a related field plus five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the position offered or a CRE banking-related position. Must have five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in each of the following: Overseeing balance sheet management including administrative renewal of existing loans and real estate portfolio level monitoring; Client pitching on real estate linked product and advisory solutions and ancillary including drafting to real estate financing term sheets; Preparing and reviewing presentation materials for use in client meetings, covering topics such as strategic alternatives, capital markets activity and general corporate finance; Real estate lending starting deal pitching and internal credit (including assessing the risk such as financial analysis, risk mitigants, macro / market analysis, financial projections); Building and reviewing real estate specific cashflow and balance sheet financial modelling to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios; and Corporate and property valuation using various methodologies relevant for the real estate industry. 10% - 15% international and domestic travel to client sites. Telecommuting permissible: Remote work may be permitted within a commutable distance from the worksite pursuant to company policy.
HOURS: Full time; Mon - Fri (40 hours per week) EOE.
SALARY: $221,490- $240,000 per year
