Key Responsibilities:
Skills/Qualifications:
- Source deals and maintain industry relationships in line with firm's strategy across the UK and Europe to analyze, underwrite, structure, and execute entity-level investments into private and public real estate operating companies in the UK and Continental Europe
- Review complex financial and legal agreements and other documents associated with potential investments to understand and quantify the economic impacts on valuation and projected investment returns
- Conduct corporate and property level due diligence for potential investments
- Sign off and prepare IC memoranda and deal models, transaction structures and deal terms to present via IC presentations that lead to successful transactions
- Build relationships with the brokerage/intermediary community
- Work with management teams post acquisition to maintain oversight and provide GP level strategic guidance and ongoing investment oversight
Skills/Qualifications:
- This role will leverage past real estate investment banking or related private equity experience to help originate and advise on secondary transactions and engage in select capital raises.
- Minimum of 12-15+ years of experience in real estate underwriting, with strong focus on corporate/property level diligence, underwriting, and modeling / valuation with West coast-based sponsors and properties
- Proven track record in REOC investing
- Experience of platform investing in the UK and across Europe
- Strong network of relevant contact
- MBA in real estate, finance or related field would be a plus
- Exceptional quantitative underwriting, modeling etc
- Strong interpersonal, verbal, and writing communication skills
- Ability to work within a team environment and interface with institutional clients and counterparties
- Experienced with management skills with demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and motivate analyst and associate level team members
- Willingness and ability to travel
