What will you be doing?

• Responsible for the origination, structuring and execution of debt financing transactions for clients.
• Prepare client materials, including pitches and recommendations vis-à-vis capital structure.
• Deliver market updates focused on leveraged finance markets, including High Yield Bond and Term Loan B.
• Review, synthesize, and react to diligence materials including management and lender presentations, confidential information memoranda, and various third-party due diligence reports such as financial, business, commercial, market, and legal, reports.
• Review and support the preparation of complex financial models.
• Prepare committee memos and present requests, underpinning deployment of capital/liquidity, incorporating analysis around returns and assessment with respect to the credit profile of borrowers/issuers, and covering the Technology, Media and Telecommunications (TMT) sector.
• Engage with clients regularly to nurture mind share and handle ad hoc requests from clients on a daily basis.
• Deliver debt financing solutions.
• Lead in the negotiation of legal documentation, including grids, commitment papers, term sheets, and credit agreements, as well as subsequent amendments.
• Develop trusted relationships with external clients and internal with key stakeholders such as Coverage, Syndicate, Credit Risk, Portfolio Management, Legal, and GLG.
• Conduct various analyses, for Net Present Value (NPV) and relative value exercises to determine best course of action for clients in the context of debt to provide informed, objective advice.
• Tracking the markets daily and through experience across multiple deals simultaneously.
• Operate external platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet, ADI, and SyndTrak to extract data and assist in the provision of debt financing to clients with funding requirements.
• Work on range of intricate transaction types including leveraged buy-outs (LBOs) and M&A related financings, requiring a broad and deep range of bespoke abilities to do so successfully.
• Coach and oversee junior team members, reviewing their work, delivering feedback, and providing critical support.

What we're looking for:

Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Business, Finance, or closely related field and five (5) years of post-baccalaureate, progressive experience in position offered or as an Investment Banking Associate/Manager or related position. Demonstrated experience must include: Utilizing investment grade and leveraged loan market knowledge to structure and negotiate deals/transactions, from acquisition financings to amendments, extensions and upsizes; Navigating complex documentation memorializing credit facilities and working with lawyers to make sure representative of agreed structure, terms and pricing; Analyzing financing proposals to formulate recommendations by ascertaining relevant considerations including merits, risks, and mitigants; Relationship management to achieve positive outcomes internally and with external clients / stakeholders, in the corporate and investment banking industry; and Must have licensure in FINRA Series 79 and Series 63.

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Seventh Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. Salary/Rate Minimum/yr: $265,000
Salary/Rate Maximum/yr: $265,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
