The role:

In this role, you will report to a Senior Vice President (Research and Information Operations) and will assist in the production of quality research reports.

  • You will assist in answering client requests
  • You will generate charts using basic-level APL, Bloomberg, or Excel
  • You will work with data to understand data-searching techniques
  • You will assist in the production process for various BCA products by working on chart requests for publishing or chart packs
  • You will work in a deadline-driven atmosphere
  • You will attend the daily research meeting to sharpen your macroeconomic knowledge and familiarize yourself with the "BCA Way" of thinking

Requirements:

  • An undergraduate degree in economics or finance
  • Ideally 1 to 2 years of experience in a research role
  • Experience in the financial services industry, preferably within an investment institution
  • Knowledge of a stats package and exposure to financial applications and time series databases would be assets
