ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR | GLOBAL INDUSTRY TEAM (GIT) | SPEEDA

JOB DESCRIPTION

Looking for a multi-skilled individual to join GIT’s Trend Vertical as an associate director. The individual will be responsible for researching, identifying, and writing reports on trends that fuel change in the global business arena. They will also mentor and lead a team of trend analysts and handle content development projects on SPEEDA.

EXPERIENCE

• More than four years’ experience in writing thematic, industry, and company research reports
• Preference will be given to:

• Candidates who have authored equity/industry research reports and possess advanced skills in both report writing and numerical/financial analysis AND/OR
• Candidates with experience in consulting, corporate planning, and business strategy
• Candidates with a keen interest in technological breakthroughs and other industry-relevant trends
• Candidates with experience in managing junior or senior teams

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or Business Administration (upper second class or higher from a top three local or top 100 international university, with first-class honours preferred)

OR

• Members of CIMA, ACCA, or any other related qualification (having completed all subjects in the first sitting) from a recognised professional body
• CFA charterholders (or candidates working towards the designation) will have an advantage 

DESIRED SKILLS

• Strong interest in finance, economics, investment/industry research, and the ability to undertake highly numerical/financial analysis
• Passion for creating high-quality reports with the ability to write clearly and succinctly
• Capable of uniquely combining quantitative and qualitative analysis to provide industry insights and identify business trends
• Team management or leadership experience is a pre-requisite in the capacity of an associate director
• Comfortable working in a flexible and diverse environment
• A cooperative and considerate teammate capable of communicating openly and maturely by giving and receiving honest feedback

LANGUAGE SKILLS 

• Fluency in English: Strong written and verbal skills 

REMUNERATION 

• Pay will be commensurate with education and experience and will be paid in USD
