Firm Description
- First Haven Capital, an affiliate of Turtle Creek Investment Advisors, is an institutional family office with several hundred million dollars of assets under management. The firm was founded in 2007 and is based in New York
- On behalf of its clients, the firm implements bespoke asset allocation strategies utilizing best-in-class fund managers while also making targeted, value accretive private equity investments
- The firm invests across the asset class spectrum, including traditional long-only investment funds and alternative investment vehicles (hedge funds, private equity, venture capital and real estate)
Role Responsibilities
- Assisting with manager due diligence and asset allocation
- On-going monitoring of investment performance, including tracking peer groups and relevant benchmarks
- Maintaining and updating a proprietary manager database and ensuring accuracy of analytical data
- Managing the production of weekly and monthly investment team meeting materials
- Assisting with the generation of quarterly manager reviews and a detailed analysis of the portfolio
- Assisting the team with Advisory Board interaction, including the production of board materials
- Reviewing presentation materials and investment memorandums of potential co-investment opportunities
Desired Background
- Two to four years work experiences
- Strong academic background preferably with a degree in business, finance, accounting, economics, mathematics, engineering or computer science
- Strong quantitative, analytical, and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
- Curious, proactive mindset with an evident passion for investing
- Inquisitive and willing to work outside their professional comfort zone
- Team-oriented and willing to roll up their sleeves to contribute to the group’s common objectives
- Expert in Microsoft Office products and comfortable with using new technology platforms
- Excellent verbal and writing skills
