Fixed Income seeks to uncover opportunities across borders and in under-researched markets. We use independent specialist teams for bottom-up and top-down decisions, and for generating strategies within their areas of expertise. The Fixed Income team includes money market products, central funding, sovereign and corporate credit, emerging market debt and liquidity management businesses.

We are pleased to share an exciting new opportunity for an LPM on the Global Emerging Market Debt (EMD) Lead Portfolio Management (LPM) Team in New York. This is an opportunity to play a meaningful role in the commercial success of the Global EMD business, and be involved in every aspect of portfolios for retail as well as institutional & private wealth clients. Our goal is to provide investment solutions, spanning all EMD sub-sectors with a focus on credit, to meet each client's individual investment objectives and considerations.

The role consists of servicing the existing client base, regular client engagement and driving new business initiatives, working closely within a global team structure. The candidate will be required to clearly communicate the investment philosophy, process, product positioning and current market trends to current and prospective clients.

The LPM will also collaborate with clients on topics including asset allocation, risk budgeting, and portfolio optimization. The ideal candidate will bring strong marketing and business development skills, a strong understanding of fixed income and EMD, have experience within a global client oriented business, and be excited to present to a wide range of clients and prospects.

Responsibilities
  • Servicing existing client base, regular client engagement and initiating and driving new business initiatives, working within a global team structure
  • Drive new business opportunities, liaising with product development and sales, completion of request-for-proposal documentation in addition to providing broad support to Sales and Client Relationship Management teams
  • Synthesize and communicate investment philosophy, process, product positioning and current market trends to current and prospective clients
  • Collaborate with clients on topics including asset allocation, investment guidelines, risk budgeting, and portfolio optimization
  • Partner with distribution and operational teams within the organization to optimize client experience and portfolio management
Experience
  • 5+ years of work experience in EMD, other credit asset classes may be considered.
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and excellent follow-through
  • Buy side client-facing experience is preferable
  • Strong knowledge of buy-side fixed income portfolio management
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills
  • Positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Strong interpersonal skills: Ability to build trust and confidence of colleagues, strengthen relationships through ongoing dialog and interactions, and collaborate with broad range of stakeholders
  • Experience working within a fast-paced environment collaborating across time-zones
  • Willingness and ability to undertake international and domestic travel
  • Strong skills in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Bloomberg

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $125000-$290000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
