The Fund Capital team brings together the long-standing market presence and expertise of Macquarie Group within the fund finance market with the established investor relationships of Private Credit.

As a key member of the Fund Capital investment team, you will play a significant role in the build-out of this new client offering, through developing, originating and executing innovative fund finance transactions for Macquarie Asset Management's investor capital. You will work in a small, dynamic and entrepreneurial team,

Your responsibilities will require you to:
  • Play a key, early-stage, strategic role in the build-out of a team with a mission to be the market leader in the provision of fund finance products to institutional investors
  • Help develop innovative fund finance offerings to suit the needs of existing and new institutional clients
  • Support the origination process through the identification of new opportunities and the drafting of marketing materials
  • Drive the deal execution processes:
    • interface with borrowers and investors
    • conduct financial analysis and modelling
    • draft credit papers
    • present to the Investment Committee
    • review legal documentation
  • Embody a team culture that reflects the Macquarie principles of opportunity, accountability and integrity

You will have experience of private markets and possess a good understanding of private equity and private debt fund structures. Experience across a broad spectrum of fund finance products will be valuable, but a strong track record in NAV and Asset-backed facilities will be particularly advantageous.

Your strong prioritisation skills, ability to deliver within tight timelines, your effectiveness in planning and ensuring quality output will be essential in this role. You will have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be a highly motivated, entrepreneurial, proactive, and resilient individual.

You will be highly numerate and possess skills in all aspects of financial analysis. You will have the ability to demonstrate sound business judgement whilst managing complex workstreams and possess strong interpersonal skills which will give you the ability to liaise with stakeholders at all levels and be an effective team player.

Finally, you will be degree-educated.
