The role collaborates strategically with functions across the firm (e.g. legal, technology, execution services) to accelerate and optimize the deployment of trading strategies and grow the business.

This is a perfect role for someone whose long term ambition is to be the COO of a systematic or multi-strategy hedge fund.

Principal Responsibilities:
  • Support all aspects of non-trading day-to-day business management operations for the business.
  • Execute, monitor and track business priorities and projects across core infrastructure departments.
  • Serve as point of contact for non-trading related inquiries from core infrastructure departments (e.g. Technology, Operations, Finance, Legal, Compliance, HR).
  • Act as interface between PM requests and other departments to address day-to-day support of PMs and staff.
  • Assist with new product approvals, business initiatives and PM on- and off- boarding processes.
  • Analyze cost allocations, budgets and business expansion economics.
  • Advise Portfolio Managers on business planning and sequencing to ensure speedy deployment.
  • Create new business management processes to streamline operations of the business.

Qualifications/Skills Required:
  • 3+ years of experience in a combination of IT, finance, accounting, budgeting, and project management required.
  • 3+ years of buy-side experience in a front office environment with exposure to or familiarity with systematic trading.
  • Strong communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with trading desks and interacting with Portfolio Managers.
  • Exceptionally strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Broad understanding of equities, derivatives, futures, and FX products.
  • Note that in the past they have seen successful candidates for this kind of role with backgrounds in execution services, technology, project management, and related domains.
