What will you be doing?

• Build, implement and execute statistical models, supporting Loss Forecasting, specifically building and implementing models for Comprehensive Capital Analysis and Review (CCAR), Current Expected Credit Losses (CECL), and other regulatory and financial programs.
• Work with large dataset for modeling data preparation. Apply statistical and programming skills in model variable selection, model fitting and model forecasting.
• Provide supporting analysis for model results.
• Provide ad hoc analytical support for other uses of CCAR and CECL throughout the Business as Usual (BAU) risk management process, and ad hoc analytical support for strategic business decisions such as portfolio acquisitions and sales.
• Build and document predictive models in accordance with Barclays standards, policies and procedures.
• Implement models in Barclays Model Execution Framework (MEF) Python based production environments.
• Support model validation and model issue remediation.
• Support model performance monitoring.
• Support model implementation.
• Produce model documentation.
• Make improvement and updates to the model development code.
• Shepherd models through the internal validation process with the Internal Validation Unit (IVU).
• Provide support for audits on model development and implementation, by both internal and external auditors.
• Provide other ad hoc analytics as required to support business needs and strategic direction.

What we're looking for:

Requires a Master's degree in Economics, Statistics, Financial Mathematics, Mathematical Finance or a related field and at least three (3) years of experience as a Quantitative Analyst, Risk Modeling Analyst or a related position with a financial services firm. At least three (3) years of experience must include: Conducting data analysis to support model data preparation and development; Building predictive and regulatory models to support model development and test and analyze model forecasting results; Implementing statistical and economic knowledge to conduct statistical tests, explore how different portfolio attributes and macroeconomic variables are impacting the risk of portfolios, and support model development; Documenting predictive and regulatory models to support model development; Working with large data sets to conduct model development and implement model execution; Utilizing SAS and R Programming to perform analysis.

Where will you be working?

You will be working at our New York, New York location at 745 Avenue. This 37-story office tower is located in Times Square in the heart of Manhattan and features a cafeteria, fitness center and state-of-the-art LED signage on the façade of the building. The building is easily accessible to Restaurants, Shops and Public Transportation.

Salary/Rate Minimum/yr: $160,000
Salary/Rate Maximum/yr: $170,000

The minimum and maximum salary/rate information above include only base salary or base hourly rate. It does not include any other type of compensation or benefits that may be available.
