Project Delivery Manager Trading operations

McCabe & Barton have partnered with a leading Trading and Clearing house in looking for a Project Manager within the Trading Operations area for an initial 6 month contract. This is a hybrid role requiring a good understanding of Project Management, Test Management, and exchange trading operations.

The Trading Operations Project Manager will assist in ensuring the smooth transition of an inhouse developed trading platform from the individual project delivery teams to the Trading Operations team and the subsequent acceptance prior to go-live. This will include:

User Acceptance Testing - Creation of test scripts, supporting the UAT test schedule, oversight of test tracking system, organisation of review sessions and management of defects.

Operational Documentation - Ensuring appropriate operational documentation is updated/produced to reflect the new features and products being delivered.

Member / Client Test Support - Oversight of test environment open to external parties, daily health checks, tracking issues and questions, creation and management of supporting documentation including FAQs.

You must have previous experience of the below:

  • Strong experience with electronic trading GUI's (essential)
  • Strong experience of testing techniques (essential)
  • 2 years work with electronic trading systems.
  • An understanding of pre-trade risk management.
  • Testing experience in a professional role, within a financial/trading institution.
  • Demonstrable track record of complex technical and non-technical deliveries.
  • A thorough knowledge of market terminology.
  • An understanding of the forward price curve for each metal.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) with all levels of staff both technical and non-technical contexts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong meeting-facilitation skills.
  • Strong project and time-management skills.
  • Organised and punctual, and able to prioritise according to business demand.
  • Good presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage workload and priorities whilst maintaining focus and quality on the delivery.
  • Experience of tools like Zephyr and JIRA a plus
