Head of Portfolio Monitoring Services

My client is a leading asset servicing firm with offices around the globe. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Head of Portfolio Monitoring Services to join their growing team.

It will be exciting as the firm is experiencing exponential growth and it will be a great time to be a part of it. As it is a newly created role, you will be given the chance to build the portfolio monitoring team, implement new processes and bring the business to greater heights.

Brief duties:

• Coach, lead, supervise the work of executives providing guidance and motivation to drive maximum performance.
• Providing post-investment asset management services, including quarterly analysis for fund of funds and direct investment strategies.
• Responsible for portfolio monitoring and management service for clients.
• Liaising with clients and underlying funds' GP for daily call/distribution and quarterly reports.
• Supervise, plan & execute SOP, ensure effectiveness of execution of management fee calculations and carried interest.
• Updating investor capital, distribution notices, monthly fund model.
• Identify potential risks and red flags and escalate these to the Senior Management and Compliance team.
• Establish and execute on all fund operations strategies.
• Implementing new processes and procedures of the fund administration services.
• Plan cost-effective operations P&L activities.
• Lead & Participate in the planning of overall strategic direction of the Fund Services team, alongside the board.
• Participate in strategic planning and review to continuously improve processes and the team's performance.
• Participate in and contribute to global service line initiatives such as new services development and workflow optimization.
• Manage financial KPI's such as outstanding debtors, client budgets, overall profitability of the service line etc.

Qualifications/Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or relevant disciplines.
• Previous working experience as a team head, leading at least 20 people.
• At least 10 years of experience preferably with a combination of fund administration/ fund accounting/ public accounting and private equity.
• Extensive knowledge of fund operation workflow, underlying asset classes is preferred.
• In depth knowledge of financial markets, financial instruments, and a wide variety of alternative investment strategies.
• Experience with USD Fund administration, RMB Fund and an asset.
• Strong collaborative team player.
