Who are we looking for
As the Analyst / Senior Analyst for Financial Planning and Analysis, you will be the key trusted advisor to the business and act as gatekeeper on finance matters. Reporting to Head of Financial Planning and Analysis, you are responsible for the end-to-end ownership of the financial accounting, reporting and controls matters.
Responsibilities
  • Manage end-to-end delivery of Performance Management reports FP&A. Ownership of end-to-end process from understanding to delivering key reporting requirements.
  • Provide support in important deliverables in CFO report, SCB Group MT, MBR and Monthly Flash and Key Management deliverables.
  • Drive expense reporting, forecasting and analysis, by tribe and cost centres, participate in Efficiency Forum and assist in driving efficiencies agenda.
  • Continuously querying business owners, cost centre owners and contracts owners, and reaching out to them in understanding the movements and add more business sense to the outcome.
  • Review and assess performance and efficiency of marketing spends in driving NTB acquisition and ETB activation campaigns.
  • Provide support in competitor analysis and industry benchmarking.
  • Provide support in Funds Transfer Pricing reporting and analysis.
  • Coordinate with financial reporting teams and other related teams.
  • This role requires strong understanding of current financial and business performance drivers across all businesses through regular engagements with business and finance teams.
  • Driving Digital Initiatives and improve current reporting.
  • Having good knowledge across various reporting systems and understand the key impact.
  • Be the subject matter expert in expense management by ensuring timely accruals and provision of expenses and coordinate with the financial reporting team.
  • Provide support to business and stakeholders in timely follow up on receivables and payables.
Controls
  • Manage overall design and outcome of the end-to-end process and own the process output performance in terms of client services, financial performance and risk where appointed as Process Owners
  • Implement appropriate internal controls and operating risk management / monitoring processes and procedures for ensuring integrity of performance reporting and compliance with related policies / standards.
Requirements

  • A finance professional with relevant experience in retail banking and wealth management products.
  • Advance computer software skills, including financial modelling and other accounting packages.
  • Strong integrity and ability to challenge the views of others in a constructive manner.
  • Ability to manage different stakeholders through active engagement an d partnership. A resilient and confident self-starter with well-developed communication and inter-personal skills.
  • Ability to work in an organised way, multi-tasking, prioritising, managing data to meet tight deadlines
  • Possess a change mind-set to implement any process-reengineering which could help to improve work efficiency and better control environment
