What do I need?

The purpose of the Commercial Manager role is to manage stakeholders and suppliers and to ensure successful commercial and contractual delivery of products and services to the business. A Commercial Manager will support the Executive Manager to deliver the Strategic Alliance Services objectives of the Cybersecurity category while managing and controlling the operation of contracts between WBC and suppliers. The Cybersecurity category responds to the growing importance that security plays in managing and reducing cyber risk to Westpac Group operations, and we continue to strengthen our cybersecurity capabilities and services globally. This is an exciting opportunity to collaborate with other high performers where your understanding and experience provides a platform to challenge the status quo in a credible and creative way.

In addition, the below requirements will also be highly regarded:
  • Maintain contracts, standards, processes and systems for a diverse portfolio of supplier contracts
  • Maintain an awareness of relevant central agreements and/or relationships and ensure that they are appropriately leveraged
  • Demonstrable experience in managing senior stakeholder relationships internally and with suppliers
  • Highly developed skills in negotiation of long-term sourcing agreements, demonstrating commercial and business acumen and pragmatism
  • Demonstrable ability in developing and implementing sourcing strategy in addition to tactical level support
  • Understanding of relevant business and technology products and services. Experience in or exposure to FSI and/or banking will be highly regarded.
  • Tertiary qualifications in business, management and/or legal studies. engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience
