Join our Portfolio Performance Group (PPG) as Project Coordinator to gain exposure to a wide range of specialist functions and work alongside investment teams and portfolio companies supporting various initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region.

The Portfolio Performance Group is a new group, recently established within Macquarie Asset Management to enhance our traditional active approach to managing and driving performance of portfolio companies. PPG is a lean group of functional experts who work alongside investment teams and portfolio company management to identify key risks and opportunities in the portfolio and work collaboratively to implement initiatives to address these. Globally the Portfolio Performance Group will comprise of functional specialists across Transformation and Operations, WHS, Human Capital, Sustainability, IT and Cyber Security, Construction, Procurement and Data Science.

As a junior member of the team, you will have the unique opportunity to get involved in, support and learn about each of the functional areas.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Support the APAC PPG team on live transactions, projects for existing investments and the delivery of functional priorities
  • Gather, review and analyze portfolio company data and partner with asset management teams to validate submissions and assess discrepancies
  • Coordinate ad hoc projects through to completion in accordance with agreed timeframes and budgets
  • Support the development and maintenance of PPG systems and materials such as playbooks and case studies
  • Assist with managing PPG's panel of preferred suppliers, including coordinating RfPs and benchmarking suppliers
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS

To be successful in this role, you will have strong coordination, organization and time management skills. You will have demonstrated strong interpersonal skills and the proven ability to develop trust-based relationships at multiple levels within an organization. You take initiative and embrace problem-solving frameworks, coupled with strong influencing and communications skills.

To be considered for this role, you will have:
  • 2-3 years' experience in project management or coordinator role; experience within the financial sector preferred.
  • Exceptional business acumen with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Experience in data visualization tools desired but not required.
  • Strong time management skills with demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and projects effectively
