The Compliance Technology Office (CTO) is a centralized group within Compliance Engineering that enables Compliance and Compliance Engineering teams to work efficiently and effectively by performing the following functions: (i) designing, implementing, and coordinating Compliance Engineering control frameworks; (ii) managing delivery of strategic engineering initiatives; (iii) unifying and enhancing core Compliance systems; and (iv) managing Compliance Engineering budget, vendors, and resources.

Summary of the Role

CTO is seeking a project manager who help drive global Compliance Engineering projects and governance frameworks that have a strategic impact on the firm's Compliance program. This specific role - which reports directly to the head of CTO - will focus heavily on tracking, reporting, and delivering key frameworks and projects. This is a hands-on role that requires diligent, persistent delivery managers who can quickly learn Compliance and Engineering concepts. This role will at times require coordinating with all Compliance and Compliance Engineering teams across the entire firm and creating reports and decks that will be presented to senior management of the firm. Examples of recent initiatives that may be carried out in this type of role include:
  • Driving delivery of Global Markets Compliance Engineering projects
  • Redesigning and implementing a new global delivery management framework for Compliance Engineering projects
  • Enhancing the firm-wide surveillance governance program
  • Creating reports that are shared with regulators and various committees and boards within the firm
  • Coordinating the technology risk issue management framework for Compliance Engineering
  • Implementing and administering a new server for a data analytics application
Basic Qualifications
  • Well-organized individual with exceptional attention to detail and personal initiative
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Project or program management experience (e.g. creating and managing project governance, managing stakeholder expectations, making project plans)
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Proven ability to own and execute projects / assignments - communicating issues, risks, and results to stakeholders in global locations
  • Technically proficient and analytical; experience working with and analyzing data
  • Experience with Excel and PowerPoint
Preferred Experience
  • Ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in Consulting, Business Analytics or Financial Services
  • Prior exposure to surveillances or risk / operational controls in a banking environment is a plus
  • Basic knowledge of / experience with:
    • Engineering concepts
    • Financial markets and products
    • Project Management
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $115000-$180000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
