The Fixed Income team manages over $500 billion for institutions, high net worth individuals and mutual fund investors. Our global investment process is coordinated across geographic regions with representation in New York, London, Tokyo, Singapore, Sydney and China. The Government/Swap team is a Portfolio Management and Trading team within Goldman Sachs Asset Management's Fixed Income group with responsibility for executing developed market interest rate derivatives, government bond and futures trades across Asset & Wealth Management portfolios as well as identifying and implementing relative value strategies using these products. The team currently has a presence in London, New York and Singapore and is looking to hire in our New York office at the Associate level.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Cash management, duration hedging, portfolio rebalancing and associated tasks on a daily basis
  • Data and portfolio integrity management
  • Portfolio construction, execution and management of trades for developed market interest rate strategies
  • Provision of market color and dynamics to the global team
  • Driving innovation through process enhancements
  • Development and management of market counterparty relationships
  • Identifying and implementing security selection and relative value opportunities
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required; Strong academic track record
  • Relevant investment management or sell-side experience an advantage, but not essential
  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills
  • Highly motivated with drive, determination and enthusiasm to excel in a trading role
  • Attention to detail
  • Demonstrable interest in financial markets
  • Time management and organizational skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for excellence, integrity and collaboration
  • Ability to build relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, including within the Global Fixed Income Portfolio Management experience
  • Familiarity with interest rate derivative products and pricing is an advantage but not essential
Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$160000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
