Fixed Income seeks to uncover opportunities across borders and in under-researched markets. We use independent specialist teams for bottom-up and top-down decisions, and for generating strategies within their areas of expertise. The Fixed income team includes money market products, central funding and liquidity management businesses

Part of the Fixed Income business, the Securitized Credit Investment team is seeking a junior portfolio manager at the Associate level in New York, NY. The successful candidate will be an integral part of the portfolio management team in New York- gaining exposure to ABS, CMBS, CLO and RMBS markets. The role places an emphasis on supporting the team's portfolio management and trading efforts, and entails considerable interaction with sell-side counterparties, operations, and technology.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Work with portfolio managers to help implement current investment views across ABS, CMBS, CLOs and RMBS, including sizing of positions across accounts with varying objectives and constraints
  • Work with portfolio managers to build and monitor risk in portfolios, including management of cash flows, new idea generation and research
  • Allocate, execute, and reconcile trades
  • Maintain and rebalance portfolios across Securitized strategies
  • Work with technology and strategy teams to increase automation, improve quality of data, and create new trading tools
  • Update and maintain reports for weekly/bi-weekly strategy meetings
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • Knowledge of and interest in fixed income and credit markets
  • Highly motivated with the ability to work independently as well as thrive in a fast-paced team environment
  • Curiosity, strong critical thinking skills, and passion for problem-solving
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Investment management or sell-side experience desirable
  • CFA study

Salary Range
The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $100000-$170000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
